Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Luna’s Gaming Log (“we”, “the website”, “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit our blog at https://lunasgaminglog.com.

What Information We Collect

Comments: When you leave comments on our blog posts, you may choose to provide a display name and website URL. This information is optional. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Tracking: We do not use social media plugins, or tracking technologies on the website. We use Matomo analytics to understand website usage, which collects anonymized visitor data without using cookies or tracking users across other websites.

Contact: Any information you provide when contacting us directly via email.

Email Subscriptions: When you subscribe to receive notifications of new posts, we collect your email address. We use MailPoet to deliver those emails (check their Privacy Policy). We collect information about which emails were viewed or clicked.

Cookies

Cookies are only set for site administrators and editors when they visit our login page. A temporary cookie is then set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Cookies are not set for users that are not administrators of the website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For website administrators, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All administrators can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, as well as see and edit information from other administrators.

What rights you have over your data

If you have subscribed to the mailing list of our website, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
